The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sven Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Åke Högberg in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 曲谦耀 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, HEJA ESLÖV's Mats Samuelsson got a free kick in the 6th minute. Villiam Holmberg made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when 陈阳森 sent off a good shot on target. Åke Högberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 曲谦耀 having to interfere. Andreas Bengtsson struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. 曲谦耀 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HEJA ESLÖV. After 17 played minutes HEJA ESLÖV got a freekick which was hit by Sven Nordin. 18 minutes into the game, 广州太阳神足球俱乐部's 陈阳森 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Villiam Holmberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. HEJA ESLÖV's Ludwig Brun managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 余希振 in the 23 minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by 冯真轩 in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by HEJA ESLÖV's Carl Stenqvist. 曲谦耀 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Högberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 32 minutes of play, HEJA ESLÖV's Sven Hermansson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 曲谦耀 was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th match minute, HEJA ESLÖV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Arne Rudkvist to maneuver through the defense. If 陈阳森 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. HEJA ESLÖV's attentive Carl Stenqvist managed to snatch the ball when 冯真轩 made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 陈阳森 to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, HEJA ESLÖV's goal looked a bit too open when 陈阳森 came free, but Villiam Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åke Högberg's late challenge caught a 广州太阳神足球俱乐部's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Åke Högberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes HEJA ESLÖV got a freekick which was hit by Åke Högberg. Villiam Holmberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 陈阳森 in the 57th minute of the match. Sven Nordin charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven Nordin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When 倪辉坤 came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the 广州太阳神足球俱乐部 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 倪辉坤 couldn't finish the play. HEJA ESLÖV's Villiam Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 陈阳森 in the 71st minute of play. 莫远桑's late challenge caught a HEJA ESLÖV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 莫远桑 helped the player get up and apologised. In the game's 73rd minute HEJA ESLÖV's Valter Pedersson took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of 曲谦耀 and thus the score was 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Åke Högberg got free with 曲谦耀 in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, HEJA ESLÖV's goal looked a bit too open when 陈阳森 came free, but Villiam Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by 倪辉坤 in the 90th minute of play forced HEJA ESLÖV's goalkeeper Villiam Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to HEJA ESLÖV getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Åke Högberg hit a great ball. HEJA ESLÖV were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
