Mateus Garcez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chrisostomos Patakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Stratos Moularas sped through KINDERUZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mateus Garcez. Giorgos Gontzos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Adolfo Abrantes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Alekos Kalikis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Chrisostomos Patakos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateus Garcez was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alekos Kalikis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute Adolfo Abrantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Kalikis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Alekos Kalikis throw himself and got hold of the ball when Adolfo Abrantes in the 42ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 44thth minute of the game Adolfo Abrantes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MELATES F.C.'s Alekos Kalikis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Gontzos in the 45th minute of play forced KINDERUZ's goalkeeper Mateus Garcez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stratos Moularas was the one to do the kick off. If Adolfo Abrantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of KINDERUZ booed when MELATES F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chrisostomos Patakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MELATES F.C.'s zone, Adolfo Abrantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alekos Kalikis came out of the goal and Adolfo Abrantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateus Garcez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chrisostomos Patakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Ronaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alekos Kalikis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Abrantes in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alekos Kalikis saved MELATES F.C. from getting behind. When Cristian Ronaldo came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the KINDERUZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Ronaldo couldn't finish the play. Stratos Moularas struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Mateus Garcez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MELATES F.C.. In the 87th minute, MELATES F.C.'s Chrisostomos Patakos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. When Chrisostomos Patakos fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MELATES F.C.'s protests and gave Chrisostomos Patakos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, MELATES F.C.'s Chrisostomos Patakos got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
