The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Washington Baiano was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Christer Termander capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. With an all-out effort, BK Värdsholmen's Washington Baiano threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filip Hedman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Washington Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to BK Värdsholmen getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Tasso to make the kick off. When Leandro Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Chinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Vieira couldn't finish the play. During the 54th minute of the match Thomás Maranhense completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. In the 66th minute, Paulo José Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The BK Värdsholmen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Washington Baiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Verner Helström went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Krister Söderman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, one of Chinho FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eddie Alström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Lenílson Munhoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that BK Värdsholmen were the better team. BK Värdsholmen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
