Chinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Seme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Chinho FC booed when Islas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Lonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ricardo Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Chinho FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mariano Oriche fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Joey got free with Washington Baiano in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Vieira in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Seme saved Islas FC from getting behind. Ernesto Seme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo José Gaúcho went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ermegildo Joey to strike the kick off in the second half. Washington Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Joey, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Chinho FC's Washington Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Fernendo in the 55th minute of play. With a little luck, Islas FC's Ernesto Seme got control of the ball when Leandro Vieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leandro Vieira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 93rd playminute. 98 minutes into the match, Chinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Fernendo came free, but Washington Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Chinho FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chinho FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
