Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Ricardo Tasso started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Severino Casomiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 5 played minutes Chinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Tasso. Washington Baiano came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Islas FC's Severino Casomiro. But to his dismay, Severino Casomiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Washington Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Casomiro in the 25th minute of the match. Sergio Fernendo struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Washington Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islas FC. In the 31st minute, Severino Joanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the game, Islas FC's Severino Casomiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Washington Baiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Sergio Fernendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Joey to make the kick off. The supporters of Islas FC booed when Chinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Washington Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Fernendo in the 59th minute of play. Ernesto Seme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Washington Baiano was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Ermegildo Joey capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ermegildo Joey really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Islas FC's Ernesto Seme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo José Gaúcho in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Islas FC's Sergio Fernendo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. João Paulo Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Seme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Paulo José Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Chinho FC's Washington Baiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Chinho FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Islas FC's Sergio Fernendo got a free kick in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Chinho FC's Washington Baiano got control of the ball when Severino Casomiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Casomiro got free with Washington Baiano in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Islas FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
