Gavril Niculiță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Washington Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Luís Eduardo Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 played minutes Chinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Pitta. After a defensive mix-up in Chinho FC's zone, Gavril Niculiță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington Baiano came out of the goal and Gavril Niculiță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iordache Tutuianu's late challenge caught a Chinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iordache Tutuianu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Iordache Tutuianu hit a great ball. Leandro Vieira struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Nechifor Oargă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chinho FC. Edgar Sfârlea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Liviu Sbârcea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Edgar Drăgan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Washington Baiano having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Sfârlea in the 23rd minute of play forced Chinho FC's goalkeeper Washington Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes, Willian Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chinho FC and the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Willian Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Thomás Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Nechifor Oargă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Vieira. 40 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Tasso came free, but Nechifor Oargă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nechifor Oargă showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Chinho FC's Ricardo Tasso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Oargă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nechifor Oargă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Vieira in the 62nd minute of play. Chinho FC's Washington Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Drăgan in the 70th minute of play. Nechifor Oargă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leandro Vieira went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
