After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Miguel Tano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlethico Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Tano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Cesário breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan Iztal charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Iztal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Club Atlethico Talleres getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Juan Iztal hit a great ball. Anibal Nalo made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Leandro Campelo sent off a good shot on target. After 16 minutes of play, Andarilhos's Herberto Vilar made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anibal Nalo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leandro Campelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Club Atlethico Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Goi to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Andarilhos's Herberto Vilar got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute Miguel Tano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Cesário saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Quadros in the 36th minute of play forced Club Atlethico Talleres's goalkeeper Anibal Nalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 46th minute of the match Juan Iztal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Juan Iztal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Juan Iztal hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. If Zarco Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

53 minutes into the match, Leandro Campelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anibal Nalo. Club Atlethico Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Campelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Campelo in the 56th minute of play forced Club Atlethico Talleres's goalkeeper Anibal Nalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Campelo scored 4-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Nalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Baldomero Semeno's late challenge caught a Andarilhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio Quadros hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, Gervásio Salgueiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Atlethico Talleres's Ernesto Guillelmus quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Club Atlethico Talleres booed when Andarilhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Jordão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes Andarilhos got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Quadros. Ernesto Guillelmus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Cesário having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlethico Talleres players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Andarilhos.
