After a defensive mix-up in Andarilhos's zone, Miguel Tano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Cesário came out of the goal and Miguel Tano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Andarilhos got a freekick which was hit by Hildeberto Lobato. After some careless play in the Club Atlethico Talleres defense, Cristiano Melo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anibal Nalo. The Club Atlethico Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anibal Nalo should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Goi during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Andarilhos booed when Club Atlethico Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Goi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Nalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Jordão in the 33rd minute of play. Fábio Cesário made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Guillelmus in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aparício Pinheiro in the 38th minute of play forced Club Atlethico Talleres's goalkeeper Anibal Nalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Tano got free with Fábio Cesário in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anibal Nalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Melo in the 41st minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Club Atlethico Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Ipar. Juan Iztal might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fábio Cesário. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Iztal ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Tano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Fábio Cesário tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Club Atlethico Talleres players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Andarilhos were winning 0-1.

The supporters of Andarilhos booed when Club Atlethico Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Gervaso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Ipar hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Cristiano Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Andarilhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Castanheira to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Jordão hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Tano came free, but Fábio Cesário reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anibal Nalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herberto Vilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Claudemiro Infante's late challenge caught a Club Atlethico Talleres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudemiro Infante helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Andarilhos's Claudemiro Infante got a free kick in the 77th minute. Club Atlethico Talleres's Juan Iztal took a good shot, in the 77th minute, which hit the crossbar above Fábio Cesário's head, and flew over the goal. Andarilhos's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Club Atlethico Talleres. Juan Iztal, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 85th match minute, Andarilhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudemiro Infante to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the game, Gervásio Salgueiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Atlethico Talleres's Ernesto Guillelmus quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 91st match minute, Andarilhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hildeberto Lobato to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes, Club Atlethico Talleres's Juan Iztal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fábio Cesário came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlethico Talleres reached it. Anibal Nalo made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Cristiano Melo sent off a good shot on target. The Andarilhos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
