Tales Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renato Pirani was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gualterio Aragones. The audience was convinced that Jairo Astigar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renato Pirani was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Jairo Astigar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Durvalino Paes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Primitivo Orixe. San Lorenzo 11's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durvalino Paes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tales Paes in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primitivo Orixe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo Astigar might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renato Pirani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Astigar ran back to his position shaking his head. Renato Pirani made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Jairo Astigar sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Filiberto Txurio managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lorenzo 11's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Txurio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renato Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gualterio Aragones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Astigar was the one to do the kick off. Durvalino Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Primitivo Orixe made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Astigar got in the 54th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Renato Pirani handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Gernando Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 58 minutes, Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo 11's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The San Lorenzo 11 fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when San Lorenzo 11's Jairo Astigar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Renato Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Astigar in the 69th minute of the match. Renato Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Astigar in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute of the match Gualterio Aragones shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renato Pirani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Jairo Astigar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renato Pirani was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Filiberto Txurio managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lorenzo 11's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Txurio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renato Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Pirani having to interfere. After 86 played minutes, San Lorenzo 11's Gualterio Aragones shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Renato Pirani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Lorenzo 11 reached it. Renato Pirani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Astigar's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Filiberto Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that San Lorenzo 11 were the better team. San Lorenzo 11's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
