The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lea Papá's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Madariaga came free, but Johnny Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Mejia hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Cirino Smith hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Jack Ocampo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A collision led to Real Kuskatan C.F. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Félix Bermudez hit a great ball. Raúl García made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cirino Smith in the 16th minute. The corner led to Club Atlético Lea Papá's Fausto Segovia getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Tadeo Aguirre kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Johnny Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Huezo in the 23rd minute of play. Raúl García made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirino Smith in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Jack Ocampo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raúl García narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Club Atlético Lea Papá were awarded a corner. Lino Rangel went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Lino Rangel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Raúl García did a great save. 33 minutes in the game, Jack Ocampo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Raúl García having to interfere. In the 40th minute Ramon Mejia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Henry Balboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Lea Papá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Kuskatan C.F. the free kick. After 42 played minutes Club Atlético Lea Papá got a freekick which was hit by Henry Balboa. Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Raúl García played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Ocampo in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Humberto Madariaga made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Ocampo in the 54th minute of play forced Real Kuskatan C.F.'s goalkeeper Raúl García to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Iván Barraza got a free kick in the 61st minute. Johnny Reyes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilmer Corpeño in the 62nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Cirino Smith got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fausto Segovia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Ramon Mejia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Johnny Reyes. That made the score 0-1 after 85 minutes of play. When Humberto Madariaga came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Real Kuskatan C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Madariaga couldn't finish the play. Johnny Reyes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Mejia's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Fausto Segovia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl García having to interfere. Ramon Mejia struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Johnny Reyes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Kuskatan C.F..
