A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Hedberg in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Márcio Freitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 13 minutes, Tony Hedberg made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Palmeiras's Márcio Freitas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Hélio Guimarães hit a great ball. When Téo Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Téo Trancoso couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Billesholm's John Askelöf got control of the ball when Ademir Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. John Askelöf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ademir Senna in the 28th minute. Téo Trancoso in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of John Askelöf, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Billesholm's John Askelöf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Bastos in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Michel Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Téo Trancoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but John Askelöf made a huge save. John Askelöf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Cosme in the 43rd minute of play. Paulinho Costa lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Billesholm. Michel Törnblom stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Márcio Freitas. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Téo Trancoso to strike the kick off in the second half. John Askelöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Senna in the 54th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Ronaldinho Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Hedberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute Tony Hedberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Askelöf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademir Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stig-Ove Odman during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Billesholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Odman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palmeiras's Michel Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Billesholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Vase didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Palmeiras's Téo Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Askelöf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. John Askelöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Bastos in the 87th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Senna. 98 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Hedberg came free, but Márcio Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
