In the 5th minute, Real Cruzeiro FC's Luís Guilherme Cabral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Primitivo Orixe. Primitivo Orixe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 13th minute Gonçalo Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Orixe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luís Guilherme Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Astigar in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Astigar in the 21st minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Guilherme Cabral came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Primitivo Orixe could save by the left post. Ivo Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Astigar in the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Benito Guillen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo 11's zone, Gonçalo Sarmento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Primitivo Orixe came out of the goal and Gonçalo Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivo Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Aragones in the 35th minute of play. Ivo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Astigar in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivo Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivo Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Astigar went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Astigar to strike the kick off in the second half. Jairo Astigar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli in the 61st minute of play. Primitivo Orixe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gonçalo Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo 11's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Sarmento came free, but Primitivo Orixe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Guilherme Cabral in the 73rd minute of play forced San Lorenzo 11's goalkeeper Primitivo Orixe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Astigar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ivo Amaral made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli came free, but Ivo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Real Cruzeiro FC booed when San Lorenzo 11 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Txurio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st match minute, Real Cruzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Ivo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Gualterio Aragones had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo Amaral. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gualterio Aragones was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. João Pedro Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Orixe having to interfere. If Serafin Fero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Astigar went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score.
