Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gonçalo Sarmento took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júnior Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Júnior Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Primitivo Orixe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Lonzo during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo 11's Ubaldo Lonzo got a free kick in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualterio Aragones. San Lorenzo 11's Filiberto Txurio got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivo Amaral was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Gualterio Aragones notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral. Ivo Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral got control of the ball when Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Lorenzo 11 the free kick. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Ronaldo Vianna got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Wanderson Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Cruzeiro FC's protests and gave Wanderson Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of San Lorenzo 11 booed when Real Cruzeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubaldo Lonzo struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ivo Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Lorenzo 11. Jairo Astigar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Ivo Amaral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luís Guilherme Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Primitivo Orixe having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Sarmento in the 37th minute of play forced San Lorenzo 11's goalkeeper Primitivo Orixe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes San Lorenzo 11 got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Fero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli in the 42nd minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Astigar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Ivo Amaral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 47 in the game by Gualterio Aragones from a close distance when the talented Ivo Amaral managed to make a qualified save. Real Cruzeiro FC's players were relieved. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualterio Aragones in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo Amaral saved Real Cruzeiro FC from getting behind. Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivo Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli in the 57th minute of play. Jairo Astigar took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivo Amaral. Ivo Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 70th minute Gonçalo Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Orixe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Lorenzo 11's Primitivo Orixe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo 11 from getting a goal against them. If Gonçalo Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Fábio Pontes got a free kick in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Astigar in the 77th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The San Lorenzo 11 fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when San Lorenzo 11's Jairo Astigar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 84 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo 11's goalkeeper Primitivo Orixe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Guilherme Cabral. After having played for 85 minutes, Júnior Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Cruzeiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Aragones in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute Gualterio Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Lorenzo 11 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Real Cruzeiro FC for a fine match.
