After having played for 6 minutes, Adrian Bergqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Billesholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Bergqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th match minute, Billesholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Pihlblad to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Isaac Marcones put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of John Askelöf. 15 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Cristo Eguen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that John Askelöf narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Argina in the 18th minute of play forced Billesholm's goalkeeper John Askelöf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Benicio Danel hit a great ball. Uriel Raymon was a little too slow when Adrian Bergqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 24th minute Isaac Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Askelöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Cristo Eguen made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John Askelöf was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uriel Raymon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Hedberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 34 minutes, Braulio Pierres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a rather tough play, Billesholm's Edvin Vase got a free kick in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Billesholm's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Marcones came free, but John Askelöf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 39 minutes on the clock, Rodolfo Flores commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 39th minute, Rodolfo Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Billesholm's Edvin Vase in action when he in the 41st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Tony Hedberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Hugo Kalfhage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristo Eguen got free with John Askelöf in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. John Askelöf didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Bergqvist in the 59th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Uriel Raymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mark Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Braulio Pierres kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Kalfhage in the 69th minute of play. Adrian Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Uriel Raymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Velez Sarsfield defense, Hugo Kalfhage kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uriel Raymon. The Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uriel Raymon should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Billesholm's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Marcones came free, but John Askelöf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristo Eguen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Askelöf having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Isaac Marcones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Askelöf was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Bergqvist in the 87th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Uriel Raymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87thth minute of the game Adrian Bergqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uriel Raymon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benicio Danel hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. John Askelöf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Although Billesholm had been in control for most of the match, Velez Sarsfield still came away with the win.
