Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antero Vadillos to make the kick off. After 85 played minutes BAŞBUĞ got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Baler. The corner led Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Macerio Sarro to fire away a dangerous shot which Hulki Bulut despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 97th minute Gökalp Koca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Romani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of BAŞBUĞ's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. BAŞBUĞ may have spent more time on the ball, but Club Deportivo O IRIXO were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
