Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Cleto Arzube charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleto Arzube the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fohat Neyen's Cleto Arzube got a free kick in the 5th minute. Hakem Al Attar got in the 6th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Higinio Bueno and thus it was 1-0. Fawaz Boland's late challenge caught a Fohat Neyen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fawaz Boland helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's Fawaz Boland got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaskon Comas in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Alberto Chilavert saved Golden Tigers from getting behind. José Alberto Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niolaao Balbin in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Gaskon Comas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. José Alberto Chilavert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Montay Courel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. José Alberto Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Al Towatan in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Al Towatan to make the kick off. Higinio Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdul Aziz Al Holey in the 58th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Cleto Arzube hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute of the match Hakem Al Attar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Higinio Bueno skillfully saved the ball. In the 67th minute Ali Al Towatan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golden Tigers were furious when Basem Al Baghli was red carded, 83 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gaskon Comas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but José Alberto Chilavert made a huge save. When Ali Al Towatan came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Golden Tigers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Al Towatan couldn't finish the play. Niolaao Balbin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. José Alberto Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Fohat Neyen got a freekick which was hit by Cleto Arzube. Hakem Al Attar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Fohat Neyen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Golden Tigers:s goal. Golden Tigers's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
