Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Ali Al Towatan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. José Alberto Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elemér Pálffy in the 3rd minute of the match. Sayer Al Besher hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A collision led to Golden Tigers getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Sayer Al Besher hit a great ball. In the 8th minute of the match Kristóf Nagy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Alberto Chilavert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 9th match minute, Golden Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mortada Al Khames to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Golden Tigers booed when Várdomb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Botond Bodor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdul Aziz Al Holey's late challenge caught a Várdomb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdul Aziz Al Holey helped the player get up and apologised. Várdomb's Lóránd Angyal got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Róbert Markos was a little too slow when Esam Al Hashash got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 31st minute, Abdul Aziz Al Holey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Tigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 34 minutes into the game, Ali Al Towatan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Róbert Markos. Ali Al Towatan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Ali Al Towatan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbert Markos having to interfere. Elemér Pálffy kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Botond Bodor made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Golden Tigers's José Alberto Chilavert got control of the ball when Elemér Pálffy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Várdomb were furious when Imre Markos was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 55 played minutes Hakem Al Attar shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Várdomb's Róbert Markos to catch but Hakem Al Attar was lucky. It became 4-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's Hakem Al Attar got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Attila Váradi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Alberto Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Al Towatan in the 65th minute of play forced Várdomb's goalkeeper Róbert Markos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Ali Al Towatan notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Várdomb's Róbert Markos. Róbert Markos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Qutaiba Al Ateqi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbert Markos having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Golden Tigers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Várdomb had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
