Spectators: 7584 (Terracing: 5689, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 151) Goianésia E.C's Igor Lacerda started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Iztal in the 4th minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Zé Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Ladislao Neron sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Goianésia E.C's Zé Antunes didn't even have to move. In the 18th minute, Melchor Iztal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Argi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Lacerda's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Igor Lacerda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Reynaldo Argi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the match, Santiago Calvino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Antunes. Goianésia E.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Calvino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 34th minute Dalmacio Ciceron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santiago Calvino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44th play minutes Santiago Calvino shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Zé Antunes and just under the crossbar into goal. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santiago Calvino made a kick off. The supporters of Reconquistense FC booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Jean Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goianésia E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Argi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Igor Lacerda sped through Reconquistense FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reynaldo Argi. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Benigno Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reconquistense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benigno Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Zé Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Calvino. Reynaldo Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Argi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Lacerda in the 82nd minute of play. Igor Lacerda's late challenge caught a Reconquistense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Lacerda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Goianésia E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Lacerda to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Calvino came free, but Zé Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Reconquistense FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Goianésia E.C throughout the match.
