The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th match minute, Reconquistense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Ubendu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Öllsjö FC booed when Reconquistense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Iztal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reconquistense FC's Reynaldo Argi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Olofsson in the 10th minute of play. Sverker Åberg's late challenge caught a Reconquistense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sverker Åberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Sverker Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Hedvall hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ladislao Neron hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Ubendu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wictor Kjellbom. Ezequiel Ubendu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Ubendu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wictor Kjellbom was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Arne Olofsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig-Arne Zander's late challenge caught a Reconquistense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Öllsjö FC's Sverker Åberg got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Erasmo Sayveon with Israel Olivar as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Israel Olivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Arne Olofsson made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Olofsson came free, but Reynaldo Argi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Öllsjö FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Hedvall to maneuver through the defense. Sverker Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Reynaldo Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Olofsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ezequiel Ubendu took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wictor Kjellbom. Wictor Kjellbom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ezequiel Ubendu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wictor Kjellbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ezequiel Ubendu in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wictor Kjellbom saved Öllsjö FC from getting behind. Wictor Kjellbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Ubendu, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Arne Olofsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Argi made a huge save. In the 93rd minute Benigno Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wictor Kjellbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Melchor Iztal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Argi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arne Olofsson. The Reconquistense FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
