The audience was convinced that Artemio Banegas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Antunes was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mário Aparecido during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zé Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Banegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Enzo Regis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 17 played minutes Goianésia E.C got a freekick which was hit by Mário Aparecido. Igor Lacerda charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Lacerda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gallardo y Biscay FC booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Lacerda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Lacerda was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Goianésia E.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Igor Lacerda hit a great ball. Celso Oroitz's late challenge caught a Goianésia E.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Oroitz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Celso Oroitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Artemio Banegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goianésia E.C's Zé Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Fierro, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39thth minute of the game Artemio Banegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goianésia E.C's Zé Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Banegas in the 43rd minute of play. Goianésia E.C's Zé Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Banegas in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean Corrêa was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Mário Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artemio Banegas in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artemio Banegas hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Zé Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Fierro in the 69th minute of play. In the 75th minute Jean Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Regis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goianésia E.C's Mário Aparecido got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Goianésia E.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Artemio Banegas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Artemio Banegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zé Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artemio Banegas got free with Zé Antunes in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celso Oroitz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Artemio Banegas kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jean Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Regis having to interfere. With his leg Zé Antunes managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Gallardo y Biscay FC's Artemio Banegas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gallardo y Biscay FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
