A collision led to Gallardo y Biscay FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Benjamin Vidal hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Goianésia E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. Goianésia E.C's Zé Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Goianésia E.C from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Bezerra in the 32nd minute of play forced Gallardo y Biscay FC's goalkeeper Enzo Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gallardo y Biscay FC's Enzo Regis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Corrêa in the 34th minute of play. David Bezerra took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enzo Regis. Enzo Regis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Artemio Banegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Zé Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Artemio Banegas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Goianésia E.C's Zé Antunes. Zé Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Goianésia E.C's Claudinho Maranhense got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Claudinho Maranhense off the ground. Claudinho Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Ubaldo Galeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Bezerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elias Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artemio Banegas in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Antunes saved Goianésia E.C from getting behind. If David Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Bezerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enzo Regis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Bezerra ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Artemio Banegas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Antunes was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artemio Banegas in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Goianésia E.C getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. David Bezerra hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Gallardo y Biscay FC's Artemio Banegas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Zé Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Banegas in the 75th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Goianésia E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Freitas to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artemio Banegas in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Antunes saved Goianésia E.C from getting behind. David Bezerra hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Enzo Regis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd match minute, Gallardo y Biscay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Vidal to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gallardo y Biscay FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Goianésia E.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
