The audience was convinced that Paul-Louis Villyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Argi was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. A collision led to Reconquistense FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Benigno Furtado hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match, Paul-Louis Villyn got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reynaldo Argi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dalmacio Ciceron kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The long shot by Christian Peeters in the 17th minute really tested Reynaldo Argi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Willem-Alexander Snieders managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minion Mim's supporters rose to their feet, but Willem-Alexander Snieders was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Argi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Willem-Alexander Snieders dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reynaldo Argi, 1-0. Minion Mim's Fabrice De Leger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Calvino in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Reconquistense FC booed when Minion Mim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Blanchaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Reijckmans was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. Fabrice De Leger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Argi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matijs De Weerdt, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Paul-Louis Villyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Argi having to interfere. Kenneth Blanchaert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Argi having to make a save. Reynaldo Argi made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Matijs De Weerdt sent off a good shot on target. Fabrice De Leger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Calvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Willem-Alexander Snieders made the kick off in the second half. Reconquistense FC's Reynaldo Argi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matijs De Weerdt in the 70th minute of play. If Matijs De Weerdt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem-Alexander Snieders in the 75th minute of play forced Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Willem-Alexander Snieders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Reconquistense FC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Rodriguez. The supporters of Minion Mim booed when Reconquistense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Iztal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Minion Mim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Calvino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The Reconquistense FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Reconquistense FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
