Spectators: 7514 (Terracing: 5636, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Patrício Fernandes kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that David Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Seabra was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 9 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's goal looked a bit too open when David Bezerra came free, but Rodolfo Seabra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Estevão Valentim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, MEXACOMX's Zé Antunes threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patrício Fernandes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Estevão Valentim came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zé Antunes could save by the left post. Goianésia E.C's Zé Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Goianésia E.C from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Seabra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, MEXACOMX's Gil Caldeira got a free kick in the 40th minute. Rodolfo Seabra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Bezerra in the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Bezerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Bezerra got free with Rodolfo Seabra in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, David Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Goianésia E.C's Jean Corrêa came free and shot a quick shot against goal 69 minutes in the game, fortunately Rodolfo Seabra had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Alfredo Osório charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Osório the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th match minute, MEXACOMX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Osório to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, David Bezerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goianésia E.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Goianésia E.C's Zé Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Caldeira in the 85th minute of play. Gil Caldeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Antunes having to interfere. The Goianésia E.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Goianésia E.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
