Spectators: 7448 (Terracing: 5587, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Vancouver Reds's Jarrett Poirier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Ivón Barroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarrett Poirier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Eriberto Segura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mergildo Pascua took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Heriberto Walton. Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivón Barroso in the 9th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Heriberto Walton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tirant lo Blanch's zone, Marshall Valenzuela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Segura came out of the goal and Marshall Valenzuela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barto Arratia's late challenge caught a Vancouver Reds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barto Arratia helped the player get up and apologised. Barto Arratia hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Oihan Cazorla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarrett Poirier who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Eriberto Segura when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Quincy Minor put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eriberto Segura. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Ramiréz during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tirant lo Blanch getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Teodoro Ramiréz hit a great ball. After 42 minutes of play Tirant lo Blanch's Barto Arratia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Tirant lo Blanch's Barto Arratia got a free kick in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oihan Cazorla made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jarrett Poirier made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Segura. Tirant lo Blanch's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 59th minute, Pelayo Valdivia made a precise shot to the right of Heriberto Walton. Vancouver Reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Pelayo Valdivia scored 2-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heriberto Walton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 76 minutes of play, Tirant lo Blanch's Pelayo Valdivia made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heriberto Walton was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Quincy Minor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, Jarrett Poirier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vancouver Reds and the Tirant lo Blanch players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Vancouver Reds got a freekick which was hit by Jarrett Poirier. In the 93rd minute, Pelayo Valdivia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tirant lo Blanch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tirant lo Blanch eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
