Spectators: 7631 (Terracing: 5724, Seating: 1755, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roosevelt Sullivan started the match with the kick off. Samuel Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roosevelt Sullivan in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Cedric Coulter dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Samuel Pontes, 1-0. Samuel Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roosevelt Sullivan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trey Randle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Cabral in the 15th minute of the match. Ian McLain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Pontes having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Atletico Patoruzu's Roosevelt Sullivan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Samuel Pontes. Samuel Pontes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 28thth minute of the game Caio Cabral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Patoruzu's Trey Randle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Atletico Patoruzu booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Pontes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marcelo-Luis Master. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Roosevelt Sullivan put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Samuel Pontes. Roosevelt Sullivan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Samuel Pontes came out and tried to block the shot, but Roosevelt Sullivan slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 37th minute. Teodoro Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roosevelt Sullivan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Chicão Tepedino made the kick off in the second half. Trey Randle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adhemar Terra went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Teodoro Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Trey Randle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Atletico Patoruzu got a freekick which was hit by Chance Womack. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro Carioca's Teodoro Gomes got a free kick in the 57th minute. A collision led to Alvinegro Carioca getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Sidnei Mendonça hit a great ball. Marcelo-Luis Master, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alvinegro Carioca's zone, Ian McLain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Pontes came out of the goal and Ian McLain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 68 minutes of play, Atletico Patoruzu's Cedric Coulter made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 76 played minutes Alvinegro Carioca got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Britto. A collision led to Alvinegro Carioca getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Sidnei Mendonça hit a great ball. Samuel Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cedric Coulter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roosevelt Sullivan took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Pontes. Samuel Pontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. Marcelo-Luis Master kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Teodoro Gomes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Alvinegro Carioca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Atletico Patoruzu's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
