Samuel Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Drescher in the 24th minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimir Schnyder showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th match minute, Alvinegro Carioca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Fire Devils's Billy Waller got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Alvinegro Carioca got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Brasil. Vladimir Schnyder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Tepedino in the 88th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Fire Devils's Dave Drescher ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Samuel Pontes. Samuel Pontes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Samuel Pontes was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Daniel Winkel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Winkel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Fire Devils's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
