Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Norberto Vilanova made the kick off and thus started the match. Vítor Pádua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Sanches in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Chicão Tepedino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vítor Pádua, 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Altamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dércio Távora to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudemiro Coelho in the 13th minute of play. Norberto Vilanova sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reginaldo Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Claudemiro Coelho scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Pontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute Caio Cabral suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 21 minutes into the game, Salvador Curado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Altamora FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvinegro Carioca the free kick. Alvinegro Carioca made a substitution. Juarês Fernandez replaced Caio Cabral. After 22 played minutes Altamora FC got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Curado. In the 27th minute, Claudemiro Coelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 33rd match minute, Alvinegro Carioca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudemiro Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chicão Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Vítor Pádua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvinegro Carioca. Chicão Tepedino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vítor Pádua came out and tried to block the shot, but Chicão Tepedino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Quinaz in the 46th minute of play forced Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper Samuel Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chicão Tepedino to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper Samuel Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Vilanova. After 54 minutes of play, Altamora FC's António Colaço made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvinegro Carioca's Samuel Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Quinaz in the 58th minute of play. When Henrique Vital fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altamora FC's protests and gave Henrique Vital a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Henrique Vital hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chicão Tepedino came free, but Vítor Pádua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudemiro Coelho in the 62nd minute of play forced Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper Samuel Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Colaço sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurício Quinaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Hamílton Brasil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvinegro Carioca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altamora FC the free kick. Hamílton Brasil hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alvinegro Carioca's Samuel Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Coelho in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper Samuel Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by António Raminhos. A collision led to Altamora FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Salvador Curado hit a great ball. José Augusto Quirino struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Vítor Pádua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvinegro Carioca. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro Carioca's Luiz Fernando Braga got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Salvador Curado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Samuel Pontes. Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Augusto Quirino during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Altamora FC booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Altamora FC's Samuel Pontes threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maurício Quinaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match was over Altamora FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alvinegro Carioca throughout the match.
