The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Hugo Mejia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio Cabral. After 21 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Xicu Fonseca. After some careless play in the Alvinegro Carioca defense, Yader Aramberri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Pontes. The Alvinegro Carioca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Pontes should have stopped the shot. Chicão Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Mejia having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro Carioca's Kauan Santana got a free kick in the 31st minute. Samuel Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yader Aramberri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginaldo Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Samuel Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xicu Fonseca in the 45th minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chicão Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. Hugo Mejia came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Alvinegro Carioca's José Augusto Quirino. But to his dismay, José Augusto Quirino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 57th minute, Zézinho Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th match minute, C.A. GUAYACO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Bordonoba to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Wilmer Villerias got a free kick in the 61st minute. José Augusto Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hugo Mejia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Xicu Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xicu Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xicu Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nando Bordonoba hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alvinegro Carioca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Vela Garros scored to the left of an out of position Samuel Pontes, making the score, 1-2. In the 79th minute of the match Xicu Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Pontes skillfully saved the ball. Kauan Santana's late challenge caught a C.A. GUAYACO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
