In the 21st minute Benjamin Sindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvano Perico was a little too slow when Válter Barbosa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Giovani de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Sindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Válter Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Silvano Perico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when CanarioMza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Nataniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germano Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Ponce in the 34th minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Giovani de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovani de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Sindo in the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Marcel Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portuguesa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CanarioMza the free kick. In the 39th match minute, Portuguesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Paraense to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, CanarioMza's Adolfo Toro got a free kick in the 40th minute. When Válter Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portuguesa's protests and gave Válter Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Portuguesa got a freekick which was hit by Válter Barbosa. Giovani de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Carolo Ipar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Giovani de Amaral quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Giovani de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Dodorol in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hamílton de Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, CanarioMza's Benjamin Sindo got a free kick in the 51st minute. Gonzalo Ponce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Giovani de Amaral made a huge save. Frederico Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Silvano Perico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Ponce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Giovani de Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute Adolfo Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonzalo Ponce in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovani de Amaral saved Portuguesa from getting behind. After some careless play in the CanarioMza defense, Válter Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvano Perico. The CanarioMza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvano Perico should have stopped the shot. Giovani de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The CanarioMza players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Portuguesa from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
