Xefe Borica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Giovani de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamílton de Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Daniel Elizondo made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xefe Borica in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovani de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xefe Borica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamílton de Almeida got free with Daniel Elizondo in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CD Suscal's Marlon Alamos got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Marlon Alamos off the ground. A collision led to CD Suscal getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Marlon Alamos hit a great ball. When Xefe Borica came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the CD Suscal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xefe Borica couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Hamílton de Almeida made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Elizondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton de Almeida in the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to CD Suscal getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Félix Briceño hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, Lauro Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portuguesa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Suscal the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Portuguesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Gerber to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Xefe Borica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramón Medeiros made in the 70th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marcel Paraense however managed to control. 73 minutes into the game, Portuguesa's Hamílton de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Elizondo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Válter Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Elizondo having to interfere. After some careless play in the CD Suscal defense, Hamílton de Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Elizondo. The CD Suscal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Elizondo should have stopped the shot. Hamílton de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Elizondo having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Portuguesa fans cheered their team off the field, for while CD Suscal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
