Asparuh Tarashoev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Åke Martinsson in the 26th minute. Ancho Marichkov took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik Öberg. Erik Öberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Erik Öberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kliment Penushliev in the 34th minute of the match. Blue avalanche's Asparuh Tarashoev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Wennerberg in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Wennerberg in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asparuh Tarashoev saved Blue avalanche from getting behind. Erik Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kliment Penushliev, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When Åke Martinsson fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Stockholm's protests and gave Åke Martinsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes IFK Stockholm got a freekick which was hit by Åke Martinsson. Blue avalanche's Toni Vúkov got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for IFK Stockholm. 79 minutes into the match, IFK Stockholm's Egil Bagge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asparuh Tarashoev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Blue avalanche played a much better game than IFK Stockholm and deserved their victory. The IFK Stockholm players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
