Sixten Zachrisson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Zebastian Sörman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Biörkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, MaLe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Hodge came free, but Arne Blomqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xalvador Teran in the 19th minute of play. Eustacio Dinarte struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Arne Blomqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Anderlecht Huachipato. 23 minutes into the game, Quim Escalante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MaLe FC the free kick. Quim Escalante hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gerard Costa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Sixten Zachrisson sent off a good shot on target. Sverker Fanström charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sverker Fanström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sverker Fanström hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Orlín De la Cruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arne Blomqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Arne Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xalvador Teran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingemar Larsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, MaLe FC's Jan-Olof Duset ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gerard Costa. Gerard Costa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ingemar Larsson took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerard Costa. Gerard Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Xalvador Teran hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Xalvador Teran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arne Blomqvist. That made the score 2-2 after 66 minutes of play. Arne Blomqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicasio Hodge in the 71st minute of the match. MaLe FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Xalvador Teran scored to the left of an out of position Arne Blomqvist, making the score, 2-3. In the 76th match minute, FC Anderlecht Huachipato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Heredia to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute of the match Sixten Zachrisson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerard Costa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Orlín De la Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to MaLe FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bo-Erik Jonsson hit a great ball. After 88 played minutes FC Anderlecht Huachipato got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Cuadra. 90 minutes into the game, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Nicasio Hodge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arne Blomqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Xalvador Teran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jan-Olof Duset had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
