Anton Păun's late challenge caught a Fcion C.A.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isac Spirea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fcion C.A.. Eric Cînu kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Celso Bilintx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fcion C.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Celestino Sarracino hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Arnulfo Nuno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Spirea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Fcion C.A. booed when Phoenix Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Ceaușu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cazimir Ceaușu fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phoenix Strikers's protests and gave Cazimir Ceaușu a yellow card for diving instead. Cazimir Ceaușu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Celso Bilintx made a precise shot to the right of Isac Spirea. Phoenix Strikers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Isac Spirea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Enaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Bilintx in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isac Spirea saved Phoenix Strikers from getting behind. Isac Spirea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Sanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Strikers's zone, Lino Sanson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isac Spirea came out of the goal and Lino Sanson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Celestino Sarracino kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 52 played minutes, Phoenix Strikers's Gheorghe Dorineanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alonzo Tartalo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Phoenix Strikers reached it. Alonzo Tartalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Pietreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isac Spirea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Sanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Celso Bilintx succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 64th playminute. Arnulfo Nuno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Spirea having to interfere. Isac Spirea made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Celso Bilintx sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute, Celso Bilintx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fcion C.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Isac Spirea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Bilintx in the 88th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Gheorghe Dorineanu put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Phoenix Strikers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fcion C.A.:s goal. Lino Sanson shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Nuno in the 97th minute of play forced Phoenix Strikers's goalkeeper Isac Spirea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Fcion C.A. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Phoenix Strikers.
