The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Verna in the 5th minute of play forced Torekov's goalkeeper Kristian Albom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Ernst Strömberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuele Verna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Enzo Oriali cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kristian Albom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Torekov's Kristian Albom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Oriali in the 16th minute of play. Kristian Albom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Verna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torekov's Kurt Bergendahl managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Beppe Anastasi in the 23 minute of the game. Ernst Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristian Albom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Verna in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Torekov's Ulf Ersman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fedele Silvi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kristian Albom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Oriali in the 36th minute of the match. Torekov's Kristian Albom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Verna in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Torekov's Birger Söderqvist got a free kick in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Luponero FC's Fedele Silvi got control of the ball when Ernst Strömberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Luponero FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulf Ersman was the one to do the kick off. Kristian Albom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuele Verna, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Kristian Albom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Oriali in the 56th minute of the match. Ernst Strömberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fedele Silvi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristian Albom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Campoli in the 63rd minute of play. Emiliano Campoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fedele Silvi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulf Ersman's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Emanuele Verna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kristian Albom having to make a save. Enzo Oriali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Kristian Albom made a huge save. Kristian Albom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Verna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
