Spectators: 7604 (Terracing: 5705, Seating: 1749, VIP seats: 150) Claes Grubb started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Beppe Anastasi struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Viktor Sjöman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luponero FC. Emanuele Martinelli was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. Edward Ahlqvist took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fedele Silvi. Fedele Silvi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Fedele Silvi had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Edward Ahlqvist's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Luponero FC's Fedele Silvi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Grubb in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Claes Grubb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedele Silvi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Oriali in the 20th minute of play forced Newcastle United F.C.'s goalkeeper Viktor Sjöman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Oriali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Viktor Sjöman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Claes Grubb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fedele Silvi was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Fedele Silvi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claes Grubb's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Enzo Oriali's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Viktor Sjöman firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 41st minute, Aron Östman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 53 minutes, Enzo Oriali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luponero FC and the Newcastle United F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Luponero FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Enzo Oriali hit a great ball. Otto Jonasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luponero FC's goalkeeper Fedele Silvi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 63 minutes, Claes Grubb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newcastle United F.C. and the Luponero FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes Newcastle United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Claes Grubb. After 70 played minutes Luponero FC got a freekick which was hit by Felice Pugliese. Claes Grubb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Silvi having to interfere. With his leg Fedele Silvi managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Newcastle United F.C.'s Claes Grubb fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luponero FC's Fedele Silvi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Luponero FC from getting a goal against them. The Luponero FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Newcastle United F.C. to win.
