Juventud Antoniana's Angelo Bartolome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Lara in the 5th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Antônio Carlos Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Léo Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Bonadona in the 23rd minute of play. Delmiro Castel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Léo Pires made a huge save. In the 34th minute of the match Juventud Antoniana got a corner. Xurupita FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Remigio Rafe ran over to the corner to take the kick. Remigio Rafe made a great header on Juventud Antoniana's corner, it was just that Xurupita FC's Léo Pires managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 40th match minute, Xurupita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Quintal to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnulfo Panpili stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd minute, Rodolfo Bonadona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Juventud Antoniana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. In the 81st minute, Arnulfo Panpili ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Léo Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. If Arnulfo Panpili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Nestor Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xurupita FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-5. After 95 played minutes Xurupita FC got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Bueno. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Juventud Antoniana lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
