With his leg Léo Pires managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Newcastle United F.C.'s Claes Grubb fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Simon Västlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Claes Grubb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Xurupita FC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Lara. Léo Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Grubb, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 29 played minutes Xurupita FC got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Ortiz. Luiz Fábio Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fábio Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Léo Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Grubb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Léo Pires came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United F.C.'s Claes Grubb. But to his dismay, Claes Grubb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claes Grubb was the one to do the kick off. Léo Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claes Grubb in the 54th minute of the match. After 55 played minutes Xurupita FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Leal. In the 61st minute Claes Grubb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Newcastle United F.C. getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Claes Grubb hit a great ball. Léo Pires came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United F.C.'s Claes Grubb. But to his dismay, Claes Grubb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Newcastle United F.C. defense, Nestor Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viktor Sjöman. The Newcastle United F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viktor Sjöman should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Otto Jonasson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newcastle United F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The supporters of Xurupita FC booed when Newcastle United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Västlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Xurupita FC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Lara. There was no doubt that Newcastle United F.C. were the better team. Newcastle United F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
