The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Klejnowski got free with Andreas Pfaff in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Jan-Niclas Ebus notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of PTB Football Club's Wawrzyniec Plucinik. Wawrzyniec Plucinik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Michel Schulten hit a great ball. Kai Hellmann kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roman Klejnowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wawrzyniec Plucinik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Kannen, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Kai Hellmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 55th minute of the match Kai Hellmann completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kai Hellmann a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Poli Timisoara's Kai Hellmann got a free kick in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Roman Klejnowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Andreas Pfaff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roman Klejnowski kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Andreas Pfaff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andreas Pfaff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Wydrych in the 73rd minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Andreas Pfaff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Poli Timisoara defense, Borys Karaszkiewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andreas Pfaff. The Poli Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andreas Pfaff should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Michal Wierzbicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. PTB Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Michal Wierzbicki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Pfaff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through a series of nice moves, Poli Timisoara's Jonas Rathmann on his own came free in the 83rd minute of the match and shot 4-2 behind a disappointed Wawrzyniec Plucinik. Michal Wierzbicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Poli Timisoara's Jan Kannen got a free kick in the 89th minute. Jan-Niclas Ebus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Wawrzyniec Plucinik made a huge save.
