Edgar Gejda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Niclas Ebus, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Poli Timisoara's Jan-Niclas Ebus managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pawel Majewski in the 14 minute of the game. The supporters of REAL BIAŁYSTOK C.F. booed when Poli Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochen Frohlich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andreas Pfaff acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jedrzej Andrzejewski. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olgierd Matuch got free with Andreas Pfaff in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgar Gejda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Kannen in the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Pawel Majewski came free, but Andreas Pfaff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezary Trac scored 2-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andreas Pfaff, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Cezary Trac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. REAL BIAŁYSTOK C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Niclas Ebus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Poli Timisoara's Andreas Pfaff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pawel Majewski in the 97th minute of play. REAL BIAŁYSTOK C.F.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
