The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Rusov to maneuver through the defense. Lino Luzaide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Daniel Anselius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lino Luzaide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute, Lino Luzaide ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Anselius was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Rodas Canillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Sjögren in the 18th minute of play. Bertil Sjögren kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Daniel Anselius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Luzaide in the 23rd minute. A collision led to ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jaime Sasoin hit a great ball. After 31 played minutes ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Duarte. Lino Luzaide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Daniel Anselius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Pastor Atarratze ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daniel Anselius. Daniel Anselius yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lino Luzaide stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Lino Luzaide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pastor Atarratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Anselius having to interfere. When Hernan Rusov fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s protests and gave Hernan Rusov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Rodrigo Guillen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodas Canillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertil Sjögren in the 79th minute of the match. Lino Luzaide kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 88th match minute, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Luzaide to maneuver through the defense. Rodas Canillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Sjögren in the 95th minute of play. The ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
