Spectators: 7542 (Terracing: 5658, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Isaac Perrando got the match started through his kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Rocio got free with Dimitri Huijbreghts in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wes Goons hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Guido Orlo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dimitri Huijbreghts skillfully saved the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Santos Rocio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dimitri Huijbreghts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Isaac Perrando took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Dimitri Huijbreghts to make any attempt to save it. Dimitri Huijbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Perrando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Martin Palermo F.C.'s zone, Jerome Helssen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Eladio came out of the goal and Jerome Helssen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Guido Orlo hit a great ball. Celso Frutos's late challenge caught a Esquirla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Frutos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Celso Frutos got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Vic de Reyck came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Esquirla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vic de Reyck couldn't finish the play. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Isaac Perrando sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Esquirla FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Laurens Van Aken hit a great ball. With his leg Dimitri Huijbreghts managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Martin Palermo F.C.'s Isaac Perrando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Celso Frutos hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfons van Haghten during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes Esquirla FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfons van Haghten. Isaac Perrando scored 3-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitri Huijbreghts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Basiel Van de Weijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basiel Van de Weijer made a kick off. Teodoro Eladio was a little too slow when Basiel Van de Weijer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 3-1. Teodoro Eladio made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Basiel Van de Weijer sent off a good shot on target. After 61 minutes of play Martin Palermo F.C.'s Celso Frutos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The long shot by Vic de Reyck in the 62nd minute really tested Teodoro Eladio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Wes Goons kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Guido Orlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfons van Haghten struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Teodoro Eladio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esquirla FC. In the 72nd match minute, Esquirla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vic de Reyck to maneuver through the defense. Michel Nilis kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Orlo in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teodoro Eladio was a little too slow when Basiel Van de Weijer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 3-2. Dimitri Huijbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Orlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaac Perrando kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The supporters of Martin Palermo F.C. booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurens Van Aken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vic de Reyck hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Esquirla FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Martin Palermo F.C..
