But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Lluques couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Danilo Salvadore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Te Moriste en Madrid's Silvano Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manole Constantinescu in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Te Moriste en Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Ayala to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Patricio Lluques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Te Moriste en Madrid's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Basarab Iordache scored to the left of an out of position Silvano Mannie, making the score, 1-0. Silvano Mannie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Pantiș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patricio Lluques to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Politehnica Timisoara booed when Te Moriste en Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. After a rather tough play, Te Moriste en Madrid's Melchor Txerran got a free kick in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Basarab Iordache notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Te Moriste en Madrid's Silvano Mannie. Silvano Mannie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute, Nichifor Borogeanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvano Mannie was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Dorin Lungu made in the 88th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Basarab Iordache however managed to control. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Dugulescu during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Te Moriste en Madrid's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
