Spectators: 7605 (Terracing: 5705, Seating: 1749, VIP seats: 151) When Cristo Astrada fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rivermania FC's protests and gave Cristo Astrada a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 played minutes Rivermania FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Astrada. Arturo Sengrat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rômulo Cardozo in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Cardozo in the 5th minute of play forced Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Arturo Sengrat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Salbatore charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Salbatore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rivermania FC's Angelo Salbatore got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute, Ernesto Cavalcante made a precise shot to the right of Arturo Sengrat. Rivermania FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 21st minute Nilton Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Sengrat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rivermania FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Angelo Nazario hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cido Cordeiro during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 33 minutes of play, A A Arizona's Rômulo Cardozo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arturo Sengrat was left in no man's land by his defense there! A A Arizona's Ademir Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Nazario in the 36th minute of play. Ademir Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes A A Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Cido Cordeiro. After 43 played minutes Rivermania FC got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Pasqual. 45 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goalkeeper Ademir Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Nazario. Angelo Nazario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Ademir Amaral made a huge save. The Rivermania FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. A A Arizona were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Angelo Nazario made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ubaldo Pasqual managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivermania FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Pasqual was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademir Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Rivermania FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Cardozo came free, but Arturo Sengrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Rivermania FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Oriche to maneuver through the defense. After 59 minutes of play, A A Arizona's Rômulo Cardozo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Hélio de Mendonça put in a rough tackle. In the 86th minute, one of A A Arizona:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A A Arizona. After a rather tough play, Rivermania FC's Ubaldo Pasqual got a free kick in the 96th minute.
