In the 15th minute, Leo Hompanera fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ademir Amaral, passed just outside the right post. Ugutz Burualla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Amaral having to interfere. Marco Lombas's late challenge caught a A A Arizona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Lombas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, CANTERANOS DMS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Lombas to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilio Horreo came free, but Ademir Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CANTERANOS DMS's Grueso Obana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Sena in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the CANTERANOS DMS defense, Nilton Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grueso Obana. The CANTERANOS DMS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grueso Obana should have stopped the shot. Ernesto Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Simão Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Grueso Obana was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 40 played minutes A A Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Cavalcante. With a little luck, A A Arizona's Ademir Amaral got control of the ball when Ugutz Burualla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44thth minute of the game Ernesto Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CANTERANOS DMS's Grueso Obana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leo Hompanera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ademir Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Hompanera was the one to do the kick off. Simão Sena scored 0-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grueso Obana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 94 minutes, Nilton Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A A Arizona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilton Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A A Arizona's Nilton Seco pulled a muscle in his back after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 97 minutes into the game, Pedro Sagarteguieta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CANTERANOS DMS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A A Arizona the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in CANTERANOS DMS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! Grueso Obana had in the 100thth minute some difficulties stopping Gonçalo Sampaio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gonçalo Sampaio took the ball and in the 100 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grueso Obana. Grueso Obana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. A A Arizona's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
