Spectators: 7582 (Terracing: 5687, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 151) Caco Corrêa made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 2nd match minute, Werneck FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Fermin Santos came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Werneck FC - DMZ's Tiago Freitas. But to his dismay, Tiago Freitas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Atlético Nacional's Fermin Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Corrêa in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Nicolas Aritza made a precise shot to the right of Zé Paulo Fernandez. Werneck FC - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Nicolas Aritza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Fernandez having to interfere. After some careless play in the Atlético Nacional defense, Caco Corrêa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fermin Santos. The Atlético Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fermin Santos should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Fernandez got control of the ball when Evelio Refugio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Breno Zonta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Fermin Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caco Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Santos having to interfere. Fermin Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evelio Refugio was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Werneck FC - DMZ's zone, Evelio Refugio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Fernandez came out of the goal and Evelio Refugio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Refugio in the 54th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, one of Atlético Nacional:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Nacional. When the match had been going on for 58 minutes, Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Lara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fermin Santos. After having played for 75 minutes, Nicolas Aritza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Aritza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimeno Oso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Zé Paulo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fermin Santos didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 93rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-6.
