An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Barbosa in the 40th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Paulo Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Fernado in the 57th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Freitas couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Virgílio Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Nemesio Leheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Toledo in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Virgílio Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Werneck FC - DMZ fully deserved thier win.
