The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Owen McGinnis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Tavares in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Rubinho Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Owen McGinnis. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Owen McGinnis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Castro in the 42nd minute of the match. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fernando Washburn kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CLAYMORE COUNTRY's zone, Rubinho Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Owen McGinnis came out of the goal and Rubinho Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Kenton Cervantes got a free kick in the 94th minute. Antônio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen McGinnis having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
