Hugo do Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tarcisio Baptista went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the game, Gualter de Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leões do Sul 53's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave COURO COME FC the free kick. A collision led to Leões do Sul 53 getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião Castro in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egídio Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Egídio Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Rubinho Tavares scored 2-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egídio Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Egídio Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Castro's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Tião Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Reis having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Tião Castro made a precise shot to the right of Egídio Reis. Leões do Sul 53's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tião Castro to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gualter de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leões do Sul 53's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualter de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Claudinho Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Baptista in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Leões do Sul 53 booed when COURO COME FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarcisio Baptista to maneuver through the defense. After 83 minutes of play Leões do Sul 53's Gualter de Salles was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edvaldo Bueno the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of COURO COME FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edvaldo Bueno had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of COURO COME FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leões do Sul 53:s goal. Hugo do Valle had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Dedé Almeida's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Antônio Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to COURO COME FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Valério Dionísio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in COURO COME FC's zone, Dedé Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo do Valle came out of the goal and Dedé Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
