After 6 played minutes FC Koper got a freekick which was hit by Znadimir Tancek. After a rather tough play, AL TOKE FC's Celestino Ellande got a free kick in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Rami in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bine Šercelj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ignacio Rami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ignacio Rami's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bine Šercelj was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Ignacio Rami kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Ignacio Rami got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erubiel Lekubegi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bine Šercelj. FC Koper's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of FC Koper booed when AL TOKE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Urbasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the AL TOKE FC defense, Marino Gregorič kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Handi. The AL TOKE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Handi should have stopped the shot. The supporters of AL TOKE FC booed when FC Koper was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaj Ožbolt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, FC Koper's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Rami came free, but Bine Šercelj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Rami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bine Šercelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bine Šercelj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Rami's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 45th match minute, FC Koper was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Znadimir Tancek to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute of the match Erubiel Lekubegi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bine Šercelj skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Claudio Brkić made the kick off in the second half. When Ignacio Rami fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AL TOKE FC's protests and gave Ignacio Rami a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to AL TOKE FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Augusto Handi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Brkić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Handi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luka Saje in the 73rd minute of the match. After 81 minutes, Amadeo Umbruso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AL TOKE FC and the FC Koper players grew even worse after the yellow card. The FC Koper fans cheered their team off the field, for while AL TOKE FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
