The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Macedo got free with Doni Pires in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Paulo Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Carlos Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Barbie Doll United U23 booed when Aesir FC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar de Moraes to make the kick off.
